This article is going to be about calories in carrots. Just giving you the calorie-count of the specific vegetable, wouldn't make very much of an article, so I'm going to discuss the overall properties of it.
There isn't that much fatty acids in it. There are fifty two calories; and, out of those, three are fat-calories. No saturated-fat is included, or trans-fat, and zero point one polyunsaturated-fat is in it.
There is absolutely no cholesterol, and four percent of the sodium-amount needed every day is included. The same is true for the amount of carbs. There are some fibers, in it - making up fourteen percent of what a person needs in aday. There is about five to ten percent sugar. Proteins make up just under a percent.
There is an immense amount of vitamin-a included in the carrot's contents; making up not a hundred, but fourhundred and twentyeight of the amount a person needs in a day.

Carrots are filled with lot of vitamins and minerals which are essential for the healthy growth of the body along with energy. Carrots help to maintain the healthy hair, skin, bones and eyesight along with cleansing the human body. They help in reducing the risk of diseases related to heart and even few types of cancers. Carrot juice is helpful in relieving stress and fatigue. It is also recommended for rich nourishment along with cartenoid content. Carrots are rich sources of all the necessary nutrients required by the body. Though carrots contain sugar, but still recommended for diabetic patients as they help in maintaining the blood sugar levels. Some of the nurients present in carrots can be counted as vitamin A, C, D, E, K, B1 and B6. They are also rich sources of magnesium, potassium, calcium, biotin and phosphorus.

Carrots even contain many phytonutrients like lycopene, lutein, alpha, beta, gamma carotenes, xanthophyll and many other antioxidants. Instead of adding supplements to the body it is better to drink a glass of carrot juice daily to gain all the necessary nutrients required by the body to stay healthy, fit and strong. There are calories in carrots along with vitamins, niacin, thiamin, saturated fats, dietary fiber and manganese. These vegetables do not contain any cholesterol but are high in sugar content. Carrots do not contain any polyunsaturated fats or transfatty acids in them along with very little percentage of proteins.

When it comes to calories in carrots, they are low comparitively with other vegetables. This makes a person not to worry if he consumes carrots regularly. 100 grams of carrots contain approximately 41 calories. A single cup of chopped carrots that weigh about 128 grams have 52 calories and a grated cup of carrots that weigh about 110 grams have 45 calories present in it. One large carrrot that weighs about 72 grams has 29 calories and a medium carrot contains only 25 calories in it. A small carrot which is 50 grams has only 20 calories present in it.

Carrots are rich in carbohydrate and starch content due to the presence of sweetness in them. Carrots can be consumed in different forms like juice, can be even consumed raw, steamed, boiled, soups, salads and can be added to various recipes to increae the taste and flavor of the dish. Carrots that are in deep orange color without any dryness should be purchased and stored in a refrigerator to maintain its freshness for about two weeks.
